Only the following conditions will have calls sent to a dentist for triage, counseling, or treatment if clinically necessary: Dental injuries, uncontrolled bleeding after extraction (outside of these hours go to the nearest A & E), dental swelling (swelling endangering the airway has to go directly to A & E), and severe dental pain not treated by over-the-counter medications
