NHS Dentist prices are split into 3 NHS charge bands. The cost of your dentist appointment and treatment will be subject to the price band if falls under and any financial support you’re entitled to towards the payment of your dental cost.
- Band 1: £26.80. Covers a dental examination, diagnosis and advice. If required, this also includes dental X-rays, a scale and polish (if clinically needed), and planning for further dental treatment.
- Band 2: £73.50. Covers all dental treatment included in Band 1, plus additional treatment, such as fillings, root canal treatment and removing teeth (extractions).
- Band 3: £319.10. Covers all dental treatment included in Bands 1 and 2, plus more complex dental procedures, such as crowns, dentures and bridges.
