As of today, October 29, 2022, our dental care delivery is finally beginning to approximate the pre-pandemic state. We would prefer it if patients wore masks in the reception area and waiting room. Please do not arrive without an appointment; all appointments must be scheduled over the phone. Do not attend if you are Covid-positive or have any concerns that you may be Covid-positive.
Our current business hours at The Portland Practice are Monday through Friday. Mornings: 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., afternoons: 2:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Phone no: 02890832202.
Weekend coverage is solely for emergencies. This centralized service is available on Saturday, Sunday, and bank holidays from 8 a.m. until noon. The number to dial is 02825663510.
Clearly, there was a substantial backlog of treatment requests resulting from the first lockdown, and while it was very tough to minimize this list, I am pleased and thrilled to announce that we have succeeded! One thing that has impressed us is the tolerance and compassion of our patients. I would want to sincerely thank you all for your cooperation. Please have no doubt that we are making every effort to visit and treat everyone of you.
Now that we have reached this point, we will begin sending reminders to those of you who are due for checkups. These are completed in the order of their due dates. If you are a registered patient who wishes to schedule an overdue examination but have not yet gotten an appointment, please call the office during business hours.
Similarly, for patients with particular concerns that need to be addressed.
Please call the office during business hours or leave a message after hours if you are experiencing tooth pain or swelling. We will see you as soon as possible. If it is a weekend or a bank holiday, call 02825663510 for pain relief. This centralised weekend coverage is solely for emergencies and is available from 8 am to 12 pm on Saturday, Sunday, and bank holidays.
When entering the doctor’s office, we respectfully request that patients use the restroom first. We also request that, wherever possible, patients arrive alone and without extra jackets or baggage. The patient should sanitize their hands before entering the facility and then place their hands in their pockets or fold their arms to avoid contacting any surfaces. If at all possible, we urge that patients avoid contacting surfaces on their way out after receiving treatment.
We appreciate your cooperation.
